First-How do I change sub-weapons? I tried looking the keybindings in the Options but it wont happen. Im pressing every key of my whole keyboard and there is no luck.
Second-How can I activate the CV_Nestalgic.pk3 music pack? I copied the file to root folder of the game and still, no NES music.

Loving this game so far, but does anyone have a strategy for Death? I'm hard-stuck on him, and it's impossible to find tips online... and I'm not really getting anything out of the videos besides "just be luckier," lol. Feels like an RNG fest without any actual strategy to it, either you get lucky to win the war of attrition or you don't. :\ Anything I'm missing would be appreciated, because after hours of trying, I can't find a single way to actually avoid any of the attacks beyond "strafe everywhere and just hope you don't get hit too much."
EDIT: Lmao MFW I beat it 10 minutes after posting this. Would still appreciate any tips though so next time I can beat him with something besides luck.
Double Edit: Beat the game just now and had a fantastic time, Death aside. Would gladly play it again, keeping my eye on this developer for future projects. Thank you for making it!
Oh my god, F in the chat, m8. I tried three different subweapons and the holy cross is the only thing that even remotely worked, and it still took me a couple hours. First I tried stopwatch and that had no effect, and then I tried knife and that was entirely useless, lol.
Hey. I just downloaded everything, followed the instructions. I just started a game and died to the skeleton but the game is just kinda stuck at the death screen and I don't really know what to do about this. Screenshot attached.
Please press space to load the latest save or press esc and load a game manually, there's also quick save and quick load keys you can bind in the options
Found this gem thanks to "Dr4gonBlitz" video. This game mod is awesome, that's one of the coolest "fangame" I ever played actually. Definitly gonna follow your content. Hope you had fun creating it as much as I know have playing it, because, as a Fast fps AND Castlevania fan, this is true gold ! Well done !

I´m really enjoying this game! I just want to ask something, I don´t dislike the music, but I thought that it would be nice to change things a bit from time to time, I wanted to put the original game´s music into the levels and replace the ones of the mods, is that possible? Has anyone done this before? Thanks!!
It was very amazing! I recommend everyone to spend 2-3 hours to immerse themselves in the entourage of Count Dracula's castle! Doom and Castlevania fans - a double surprise!
Such a beautiful game, I honestly can't wait to play more of this! Doing a full series on this as soon as Halloween is over! Love everything about this game, definitely gonna try out the 3rilogy expansion as well!

I love this but am dying quite a bit due to seemingly no healing items? I'm not a big Castlevania fan, so I guess I'm missing something to do with the 100 hearts I've collected?
This is amazing! Really polished and plays well and true to Castlevania. I haven't gotten too far yet, but I'm going to play this on Coop. I'm working on some code changes tweak the balance a bit for multiplayer, giving more item drops based on # of players / etc.
You can also use the affinity settings in task manager to force the game to use less of your CPU. if you run into this issue again or even on other applications. If you don't know how, open the task manager, find the game, right click and choose "go to details", on that screen you right click on the process and click "set affinity", and it will give you a checklist with all your processor threads listed...try unchecking one or two of the boxes (usually two threads per processor core). You will have to do this each time you run the game...if you uncheck too many, you may experience lag.
Hello. I am trying to get this to work on a retro built. What is the oldest version of gzdoom that this will run on? And are there any alternatives to gzdoom? all that said would you consider making this work on something that can run on winxp or older? @batandy
I have try to play it with freedom (a gzdoom fork for android...) but it have some mod file called pk3 and not ipk3... Pk3 its wad file? How to play it with freedo.m?

1) like actual castlevania the sub weapons work like the game (only one sub weapon at a time) 2) in the load order music should be last
I got it working on Retroid Pocket 3 and it's great but objects and enemies are disappearing and reappearing, dying from invisible enemies. Any help?
I'm using Delta Touch and had the rendering backend at GLES 1.1. Changed it to GLES 2.0 and it fixed my problem 🙌

In Castlevania, hearts are ammo for the subweapons, to heal yourself, whip suspicious looking cracked brick walls to find health items.
I see a lot of people posting their vids in the comments so I thought what the hell, why not.

Played it with no issues yesterday but today gzdoom is using 95% of my CPU to run? Has anyone encountered this issue before with this wad?
I deleted the gzdoom, reinstalled it, put simons destiny back into the folder and its fine now. Bizarre.
Ran regular doom fine. Not sure what in the settings caused simons destiny to suck up all my cpu today.

use gzdoom and load it as an iwad. ZDL may help you with that.
